Get the show on the road<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If someone tells you to get the show on the road, they are urging you to get started on something! Rather than waiting somewhere for the preparation to finish, they want you to start, even if there might be some mistakes and things that hinder your progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>The circus ringmaster was tired of all his employees spending time drinking and partying instead of packing up to move. He shouted, \u201cLet\u2019s&nbsp;<strong>get this show on the road!<\/strong>\u201d to get them to move.<\/em><br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>I know you are worried about leaving something important behind, but we have our passports and cash for our trip to Japan so let\u2019s&nbsp;<strong>get this show on the road!<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. <strong>Bob&#8217;s Your Uncle<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s as simple as that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>A comedy about some strange guy named Bob that may or may not be a character&#8217;s uncle?<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>4. <strong>Blue in the Face<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Weakened or tired after trying many times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Possibly a great title for a biopic of The Blue Man Group or a unique story about a character trying to be part of that strange performance group?<\/em><br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\n<script async=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script>\n                <ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:block\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-5017566440575750\" data-ad-slot=\"3406615517\" data-ad-format=\"link\" data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\n                <script>\n                     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n                <\/script>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>5. Kick something off, kick off<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you kick something off, you spark its beginning. If you are sitting in a meeting and no one says anything when the boss asks for feedback, it will be awkward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>The movie\u2019s cast and crew wanted to celebrate the release of their movie by holding a private&nbsp;<strong>kick off party<\/strong>&nbsp;the night before the formal movie premiere.<\/em><br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Our local grocery store is helping the families in the community&nbsp;<strong>kick off<\/strong>&nbsp;the school year right by offering lots of discounts on all kinds of back-to-school items! They have reduced prices on backpacks, stationery like pens and notebooks, lunches, etc.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>6. <strong>A Storm in a Tea Cup<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A big fuss made about something of little importance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>It is a&nbsp;storm&nbsp;in&nbsp;a&nbsp;teacup: in terms of international waste disposal, we are talking about microscopic amounts of material.<\/em><br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>It would seem that the process has come a long way forward and this is probably a&nbsp;storm&nbsp;in&nbsp;a&nbsp;teacup.<\/em><br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>It seems to me to be a&nbsp;storm&nbsp;in&nbsp;a&nbsp;teacup&nbsp;about these business letters.<\/em><br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>I will not say it is a&nbsp;storm&nbsp;in&nbsp;a&nbsp;teacup, but it is rather like one.<\/em><br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>It is a complete&nbsp;storm&nbsp;in&nbsp;a&nbsp;teacup.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>7. Sell out<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Sell out has two meanings \u2013 one is positive and the other is negative. If you use sell out as a noun, it is not a good thing. This means that you have completely abandoned your principles in favor of something such as money.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>If we are able to&nbsp;<strong>sell out<\/strong>&nbsp;the first show of our musical, we can show all these people that there is a market for the stories that we can tell and that people will like them!<\/em><br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>I spent two years building up this blog and I will not&nbsp;<strong>sell out<\/strong>&nbsp;my brand for any amount of money by letting a bad service advertise on it.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>8. <strong>Hold Your Horses<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Wait a minute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Just hold your horses, Bill! Let&#8217;s think about this for a moment.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>9. <strong>Kick the Bucket<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To die.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Every one of us will kick the bucket someday.<\/em><br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Have you heard? People will get excited for something by generating hype for it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Jerry thought for sure the new Marvel Cinematic Universe movie, Spiderman Homecoming, was going to fall short of the expectations of the fans.
